If you cancel or receive a refund for your purchase, you will not earn Nectar points. If points have already been awarded, they may be removed from your account.
Do I collect points on shipping, handling, or tax?
No. Nectar points are only earned on the actual product or service value, excluding any delivery charges, handling fees, or tax.
When will my points be added to my account?
Points are usually awarded within 45–90 days after the transaction.
For travel, policy, contract or subscription purchases, points may take up to 90–120 days to appear, depending on the retailer’s terms.
If there are any issues, such as returns or cancellations, awarded points may be reversed or pending points cancelled.
How do I collect points with Nectar eShops?
To collect points with Nectar eShops, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Nectar account at nectar.com or via the Nectar app.
- Search for a participating retailer.
- Click 'Shop now' to visit the retailer’s website.
- Complete your purchase in the same session.
To ensure your transaction is tracked:
- Only access the retailer’s site via the Nectar website or app.
- Enable cookies in your browser and allow cross-site tracking.
- Disable any ad-blocking software.
- Accept cookies on the retailer’s website.
Declining cookies or using ad-blockers may prevent points from being assigned to your account.
What does “tracked” mean?
A tracked order refers to a transaction we can identify and link to your Nectar account. This happens when you click through from Nectar, make a purchase, and the retailer confirms the order.
Why is there variation in the number of Nectar points I have collected with the same retailer?
Retailers may update their point offers or apply different rates to product categories.
Always check the retailer’s Nectar offer page before shopping for the most accurate information.
Why have I not received Nectar points for my purchase?
Points may not be awarded for the following reasons:
- the order was returned or cancelled
- the payment was declined
- the purchase did not meet the retailer’s terms
- you used a discount code
- you bought a gift card (unless otherwise noted)
- you declined cookies or used an ad•blocker
- you did not access the retailer’s site from Nectar
- the transaction value changed due to partial returns
Why is the retailer I usually shop with no longer listed?
Occasionally, retailers end their participation in the Nectar programme. If a retailer leaves, they will no longer appear on the Nectar website or app. We thank them for their partnership.
Will my personal data be shared with retailers?
No, Nectar does not share your personal details with participating retailers.
However, when you click through to a retailer’s site, you are subject to their terms and privacy policies. Any data you provide directly to them is at your discretion.
I forgot to click out from Nectar before shopping. Can I claim points afterwards?
Unfortunately, Nectar points can only be awarded if you started your purchase by clicking through the Nectar website or app. Please ensure you do so next time to earn your points.
